Is your hardware good for use around Dogs or Children? |
| Yes, Most of our applications are for that purpose? the included Magnetic door pin helps to stop the door from lifting or being pushed off of the track |
| adding a latching unit and prepping the Jamb with heavy stops will provide maximum support |
How far above the floor does the track stick up? |
| The standard track is 7/32" tall, it can be surface mounted or recessed 5/32" so it would only be 1/16" tall |
If I already have a pocket door can I turn it into a Dutch door? |
| Yes, we have a bottom only Kit for existing pocket door to use on that application. |
Can the kit be used on a Pony or Half Wall? |
| Yes, we have the bottom only Kit for that application. |
I am installing the door on new construction is there a frame kit Available to build the pocket? |
| Yes, We have a frame kit that includes the uprights and header to build the pocket, there is an option to add the frame kit during checkout |
What height door does the Dutch Door Pocket Door Kit works with? |
| The standard Kit does not have a height limit, however our frame kits are for 80" doors only, Contact us if you have need of a kit for a 84" door unfortunatly, we can not ship frame kits for 96" tall Doors - In that case you would source the frame kit locally and then use our standard kit |
What is the Door width for the Kit? |
| The kit can be cut to work with any door thickness, when choosing soft close, the min with is 28" - see below for wider doors |
Do you have a kit for a 48" door? |
| We can make a kit for a 48" door but you will have to contact us. On a door wider that 36" there is more leverage available so care will need to be taken to insure that the door is not pushed on while it is being open closed, also the Jamb with heavy stops will have to be used. Once the door is fully open it is supported by the jamb and wall so it is secure. |
Can I use your hardware to create a double Dutch door kit? |
| It is not recommended, for that application because of strength limitations, Please contact us if this is a need as we are working on a solution |
What do I do if I do not have a finished floor yet but I want to drywall the pocket? |
| If the track can not be installed we recommend using our floor set up information |
| What door thickness of Door does the kit work with? |
| The standard passage kit will work with any door thickenss over 1 1/4" , the Latching trim is for doors 1 3/8" or 1 3/4", when ordering the frame kit you will need to specify the thickness of 1 3/8" or 1 3/4" |
Why does you kit not have Flush or Edge pulls for the top door? |
| The top door Does not pull out without the bottom door, so in most applications when the top is moved it will be connected to the bottom. and the flush bolt has a tab that can be used to pull the top out of the pocket. If you have an application where the bottom will be left closed and the top will be opened and closed often flush pulls on the top might need to be used, contact us and we can supply matching pulls |
Do you have other hardware trim options for the doors? |
| Yes, we have a wide selection of hardware available We supply Emtek, Baldwin, Inox, Cavilock and many others our kits are supplied with quality hardware in a wide variety of finishes. If you wee something else our site that you would like to use, please contact us. |
